My EEE Disaster
Saturday, October 30, 2004

I was really so happy when I got my classcard in EEE1. The highest grade that I expected that I was going to get was a 3.0. Okay truth is, I was worried that I wouldn't pass the course because my grade in the lab, when i last saw the grading sheet of my professor was 24%, you need 27% to pass the course. When I saw my grade, it was a very joyous moment. I was all smiles. And even as I left the building and was walking towards the street, I was in jubilation. I was even kissing my classcard, and I think I saw two girls who saw what I was doing and they were a bit amused. Well if you exceed your expectations, then you should rejoice and be thankful. I got a 2.75 and I'm really thankful I got that great, now if only I have higher expectations, maybe just maybe I'll get higher grades. For me, grades are just rewards, learning of course comes first. But hey, they can comfort you after a tiring semester, can't wait for the next one.

I did so bad in this class, my grade for the first exam sa 3. Not 3.0 but 3% how embarrassing.

My Equipment Design Adventure
Friday, October 22, 2004

I woke up early because I have this mouth sore that is really bothering me. Ang sakit niya, nakaligtaan ko pang gamutin bago matulog kaya ang hapdi. Anyway, I have to meet with my groupmates this morning regarding our ChE134 project. It requires time and motion studies as what was relayed to me by our professor. It is a good thing that she has our telephone numbers. She always texts us when a problem arises, thank God for that. And also I changed my schedule for next semester I cancelled everything I got during the first wave of enlistment. If all goes well, wala akong class pag monday! Please Lord, no classes on Monday. I decided to take the 140 class on wednesday because I have an ES12 class during that day, sayang naman, 1 class lang papasukan mo ng Wednesday. I also cancelled my street dancing class as it was scheduled during MH. Ang problem lang siguro nito eh, wala walang problema 3 araw pa rin ng bakasyon yahoo!

So our tasks for today is to complete the subject. I also have to meet with my girlfriend it has been a week since we last saw each other. Baka nami-miss niya ako. Kasi miss ko na rin siya eh =)

My Hero (dies)

Do you worry that you're not liked?
How long till you break?
-- Our Lady Peace, Superman's Dead --

Yesterday while I was channel surfing I came upon a segment on CNN, it showed a picture of Christopher Reeves and then at the bottom was "1952 - 2004." And so I thought to myself, he's dead? What? That's a shocker. I changed channels, and on Fox there was a report that he succumbed to heart failure. So he's dead. Incidentally, a few minutes before, I saw the commercial of the upcoming Smallville episode, which was supposed to air today, well kanina, and it was the episode where Christopher Reeves guested.

Before I forget, I was watching Mel&Joey last Sunday, it was Joey's birthday celebration. In th 1980s, he starred in a tv series where he played Ian Veneracion's father. If this show ran on air before 1983, then maybe, my name came from Ian's character, Jeffrey Laperal. Just guessing. And whenever I see the new sitcom, Bahay mo ba 'to? I remember Joey de Leon playing gay roles, it's because Keempee is doing it too. Like father, like son. Very funny indeed. Among the trio of Tito, Vic, and Joey, Joey is my favorite, although some would say Vic is my favorite, because I look like him. Joey's a great lyricist, just listen to VST hits, you would sing along immediately, easy to follow, yet poetic, straight to the point and clear.

And I saw Feng Shui today, I went with Tintin, we had another movie critique =)
Oh yeah, the movie is indeed funny, because of the subtle promotion of all of the commercial products.

My Sigh of Relief
Tuesday, October 5, 2004

Last week, for me was the longest week of my life. I had to finish 2 presentations, 2 take home exams, design a traffic light, of course those EEE students can easily do the last one, but for us non EEE, it was hard work. Anyway, I have 5 more things to do on my checklist, 2 of which should be done by this week. I have 2 exams, one is on Thursday, the next is on Friday, but for now I can rest. I'll start working tomorrow, reviewing for my upcoming exams.

I bought a new shirt yesterday, I wore it today for our presentation. It's a white, and it has long sleeves. Modesty aside, but I really looked good in it. Some of the people I met today gave positive comments on my appearance. One professor even said, while I was at the department, she looked more "tibak" than me. I retorted that I'm not "tibak" and some may even label us (in the USC) as elitists. I then added that I was at the department to pick up the projector that we will use in our presentation. She jested that why I had to dress up when I would only be carrying a projector. Our report went well, not as we planned it but hey, our professor didn't ask save for one question for our group. Would you believe that we had 87 slides, and when the time expired, we were just halfway through our presentation? Even with the extension, we didn't finish our presentation. It's great working with my groupmates, there's omar, cecille, and ana. Maybe next semester, we could join forces for another round.

Today's my grandpa's birthday. Tomorrow is an aunt's birthday. There are a lot of people in my family who have October birthdays. In my immediate family, there are 3, my dad, bro, and sis. Mom's is on November. My girlfriend's dad has an october birthday, just to add. I did a lot of stuff for today, and I'm really tired because of all the things I did for the past week. I'm about to rest.

And this month, my girlfriend started blogging =)

I got a new phone too! After 3 years and 8 months, me and my 3310 bid each other goodbye, sa wakas!
