miyembro ako ng frat and I'm proud to say that for the past 3 years na member ako, never kami nagkaroon ng rumble. officially, 5 taon ng wala. hooray!
nalaman ko na lang noong bilangan, tuesday night march 2 na nagkaroon ng "hit" sa isang tambayan sa may PHAN, nag-text yung brod namin na mag-ingat, di pa kasi maliwanag kung sino yung nagkatamaan. Pagkatapos ng ilang sandali (o ng isang oras mahigit) nalaman namin kung sino yung 2 frats. Yung mga kasama naming nagbabantay sa eng'g, nag pullout na. Hindi rin sila yung involved, pero malamang nakita nila yung nangyari kasi abot-tanaw nila yung tambayan na sinugod. Ang balitang umabot sa akin, hindi bababa ng tatlo yung mga nasaktan sa kampo ng mga sumugod. Laking gulat ko na lang ng isa sa mga sumugod ay siya pang dinala sa ospital. Mukhang grabe ang sitwasyon niya. Nagtext kasi ulit yung brod namin na sinugod na sa PGH yung fratman na kasama sa mga sumugod. Apparently, this guy was left by his fellow fratguys. So this guy was left behind, roles reversed, and he was on the receiving end of the attack. Poor guy, left alone by his fellows. (this is one version of the story)
The other version was that this guy was conducting his duty as pollwatcher at the CSSP. He was identified as a member of a certain fraternity by members of another fraternity that at that time were the one's who they had a truce with, since a month ago they had a rumble. They surrounded him and and was beaten up. (another version of the story as related to me)
Yesterday, I happened to meet a friend on my way home. We have common friend, who happens to be a member of the fraternity who was attacked last March 2. This friend related to me that our common friend was at their tambayan when the attack took place. The guy was really left behind, he was among those who conducted the attack. I believe our common friend was telling the truth, I do not question his integrity, even if we are not members of the same frat, people sometimes disbelieve what others are saying on the basis of their allegiance or membership in a certain organization. They immediately sense that these opinions are biased.
PS. The guy who was seriously injured is also a friend of mine. And breaking a truce is something that they shouldn't have done.
