My Working Hours
Wednesday, September 12, 2007

Okay, now that Erap has been convicted, it comes as no surprise that there are no new news items on Chris Mendez's case. Or maybe I have to do a better search.

Oh, you know what, I am so tired from working 12 hours everyday. There is so so much to do and if I don't get enough sleep, I might be doing that in the office instead. And so I write. I have repeated those four words for so many times now. So updates on me, well I've met fellow UP iskolars here in Winnipeg, and that brings my tally to 6 UP alumni and 4 UP students. Two are orgmates from Crest, one is a brod from SJ and one is my former boss, and of course my dad and me. Of the remaining four, 2 are from peyups.com, one is my brother, and one is my real brother. So a total of ten. Ten UP people in Winnipeg, are there more? I hope there are.

I have a meeting in 12 hours and well, it is an excuse to not work isn't it? Who agrees with me? Working lunches work better with me.

It's been a wonderful experience working in the lab. Unlike in the production area where I worked before, the population is more varied. In production, it is mostly Filipinos working there. But in the lab, well there are still plenty of Filipino, I think we rank 2nd in number. Many Asians too like Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian. And Africans, people from Latin America, people from Eastern Europe, although I have one complaint, it's harder to understand other Southeast Asians when compared to Eastern Europeans, at least in my case. But in terms of population of the whole plant, Filipinos I think comprise at least 2/3s of the entire workforce.

Twelve hours again tomorrow. I am so so spent.
