My Empire
Thursday, April 12, 2007 I have lots and lots of territories. In the world of Civilization and other Sid Meier games that is. I've been playing Civilization since my 2nd year in high school. It was introduced to me by roommate Eugene. And from then, began my journey standing the test of time. The first game in the series was Civilization, originally released in 1991. I started playing it 1996 so it took me 5 years before I knew of the game. That same year, Microprose released the sequel Civilization 2, more popularly know as Civ 2. And the rest is history. As soon as the next title in the series were released, I purchased a copy and started building my empire. What draws to this series is the power one has in shaping history. And I don't even finish the game. I just play and play building empires. Building different cities, cultivating them until they reach their full potential. Researching technologies and building huge armies. Just like life. Most of the time, what matters is not the result but how you achieved it. You don't really get to appreciate something unless you've worked hard for it. May malupit akong pick-up line na nabasa, para ito sa mga taong nakaranas na mag-experiment at gumawa ng report: Lecture mo ba ako? Kasi lab kita! Pinaglihi ka ba sa keyboard? Kasi type kita. ![]() |
