My Playlist
Wednesday, March 21, 2007

I've been updating my playlist lately, organizing the mp3s that we ripped from the CDs we left at home and then downloading some, okay a lot. People sing about the coming of spring, says one 311 song. But it still doesn't come, for me. Bukas 4 degrees Celsius na! Nakakainggit sa ibang lugar may mga cherry blossoms na. Mukhang white Christmas pa rin dito.

Anyway, I've chanced upon the whole 1896 Ang Pagsilang album. I miss my cassette tape, I lost it in high school. I lost a lot of records in high school! Too many, more than half of my collection. Also, I had Silverchair's first 2 albums. We did a cover of Tomorrow, I think or was it Israel's Son? Good thing there are mp3's of Sgt. Pepper's available on the net. I can't rip them off the DVD, I don't know how.

I'm feelin' a bit nostalgic right now as I'm listening to these tracks. I remember fondly how it was during high school; simple, no complications, just school and back to the dorm. Not even a high school girlfriend. What the heck was I doing then? I have one regret though, I didn't bring our V8 of Can I Graduate. Hope it's still there when I go home.

Now that I'm older, I'm more into 70s and 80s music, the songs I heard growing up. I still love the 90s and the early part of the 21st century, but for me the best songs were written in the 70s. Okay, The Beatles were great, so the 60s were okay too.

Right now though, my favorite is Tear Drop by Massive Attack, recently famous as being the theme from House MD. Very addicting, lulls you to sleep.
