My Fishy Friend
Tuesday, September 16, 2003 This is a most excellent film dude! It's my favorite among the Pixar animated films. It's even better than A Bug's Life, which was my favorite before I saw Finding Nemo. I almost was not able so see it, it was only through Tin's incessant badgering that we were able to watch Nemo. At first I wanted to see LXG, good thing we did not. Nemo tells the story about an overprotective father and his handicapped son. The son (Nemo, a clownfish) was taken away by a dentist (P.Sherman, who happens to live at 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney). Marlin (the father, also a clownfish) embarks on a journey to find his son. He encounters different characters, he first meets Dory. Who later becomes his companion in the search for Nemo. Dory has short term memory loss, which makes her character funny. Ellen DeGeneres lends her voice to Dory, she seems fit for the role, a perfect fit if I may say so. On their way, they meet three sharks who chant the mantra "fish are friends not food." They encounter mines, an angler fish, a school of pictionary fish, a forest of jellyfish, sea turtles riding the EAC (dude!), a giant whale, and pelicans and sea gulls. PS you gotta love Dory, if it wasn't for her there wouldn't be a movie. |
